Requires a Bachelor’s degree (MHA, MBA or MSN preferred). 3+ years experience in an ASC setting and 2+ years of supervisory experience and a clinical background. Strong knowledge of the healthcare industry, a working knowledge of ambulatory surgery billing and collection procedures, and a firm understanding of credit laws and government regulations specific to relevant healthcare issues. Requires expertise in government regulations specific to relevant healthcare issues, knowledge of regulatory and accreditation agency policies/requirements and a firm grasp on the use of medical records systems. Working knowledge of computerized bookkeeping through financial statements is also a must.

San Mateo Surgery Center is a two-room multidisciplinary facility that provides general surgery, urology, plastic surgery, orthopedic, gynecologic and pain procedures. We are located mid-way between San Francisco and Palo Alto on the San Francisco peninsula at the northern end of Silicon Valley and have been providing services to the local population for over 12 years.
 
We are seeking an RN with Operating Room experience (CNOR or equivalent) who can gradually assume the role of Director of Nursing while performing daily as needed in the Pre-Op area, OR, and/or PACU. Some management experience is desirable but not mandatory. No previous experience with Director of Nursing duties is necessary, as we will provide orientation, training and assistance.
 
Requirements: Current California license, ACLS, CNOR or equivalent experience, PACU experience.

ASC Administrator Position

Regional Operations Director
Lifeline Vascular Access works with premier physician practices to develop and manage outpatient centers that provide focused and coordinated vascular access procedures to patients receiving hemodialysis treatment for end-stage renal disease (ESRD).  We currently manage more than 50 physician-owned vascular access centers in the United States and provide the physician practices with financial and outcomes reporting, staffing and training, facility operations, regulatory compliance, and insurance billing  services.   The Lifeline Vascular Access network of managed vascular access centers is accredited by the Joint Commission.

In this position, you will report to our Vice President of Clinical Operations.  The assigned area will include 12 vascular access centers in California, Arizona and Nevada.

Responsibilities

* Provide leadership and overall direction to the key stakeholders within the physician practices and Lifeline management and staff
* Ensure that standards of performance are met which include quality outcomes, patient satisfaction and financial performance
* Develop local market strategy consistent with Lifeline's overall goals and objectives
* Maintain customer relationships and understand business needs and concerns
* Resolve issues, meet financial targets, and manage area operations including center administration, formulary adherence, quality and compliance
* Act as the corporate liaison to communicate issues, strategies and driving growth and local outreach initiatives
* Provide leadership to center managers in the designated region
* Coordinate with Lifeline management and cross functional teams to ensure quality service to customers and patients
* Ensure achievement of financial and quality results

Qualifications

* Bachelors degree required; Master's degree preferred
* Minimum ten (10) years of progressive healthcare experience desired
* Dialysis, nursing, or radiography experience a plus
* Effective communication, negotiation, and project management skills
* Ability to build rapport and lasting customer relationships based on personal and professional trust
* Travel within assigned region

Must also have a firm understanding of healthcare-related documentation/systems, nursing skills/techniques and relative medical equipment. Significant expertise in human relations is also essential to success in this role.
